Description of Site/Tour: Yucca House National
Monument was established in 1919 to protect two major
archeological complexes that date to the PIII period. The Lower House consists
of a rectangular roomblock,
enclosing walls, a plaza, and a great kiva, The West Complex is a D or
crescent-shaped pueblo which includes
roomblocks, kivas, a great kiva, and a bi-wall structure. This site remains
largely undeveloped and therefore,
very well preserved.
