Short Description of Site/Tour: Tour
will visit two large, late Pueblo sites in the Middle San Juan region:
Flora
Vista and Holmes group.
Flora Vista was built in the AD 1200s as a
large village
on the south bank of the Animas River. The Holmes Group is a huge
manifestation
dating from Basketmaker III to Pueblo III; focal point is the area
around two
Chaco-era great house structures.
Meeting Place Location: Farmington Museum, 3041
E. Main St, Farmington, NM

Other information: Bring lunch, water, sturdy boots/shoes; moderate hike; max of 6
