Description of Site/Tour:
Cannonball Pueblo is a fine example of the distinctive canyon
rim
village
orientation for the PIII time period in this region. The site encloses
a spring, and has a substantial
amount of standing architecture. The south
pueblo portion of the site was
excavated by Sylvanus
Morley in 1908.
Meeting Place Location:
Parking lot of the Anasazi Heritage Center on Highway 184.

9 AM. - noon
Other information:
High clearance vehicle and carpooling recommended.
Can drive to parking area at
site. Hiking will be around the site. It will be hot, not much shade, so bring
lots of water, sunscreen, hats, etc.
