TOUR # 1: ANASAZI HERITAGE CENTER CURATION TOUR

Description of Site/Tour: This “Behind the Scenes” tour of the curatorial areas of the BLM-Anasazi Heritage Center focuses on the AHC as a Federal Repository; the types of collections curated at the AHC; access to collections and data for research and education; the type of physical environment necessary for long-term preservation; and other issues of accountability and accessibility of federally-owned and managed museum collections.
Meeting Place Location: BLM-Anasazi Heritage Center, 27501 Highway 184, Dolores, CO (Map & directions are available on the Heritage Center web site .)
Tour times/Length: Tour # 1 A; 9 AM – 10 AM Tour # 1 B: 10:30 – 11:30 AM
Other information: Tour participants are encouraged to visit the public galleries at the Heritage Center prior to taking the “Behind the Scenes” tour.
